Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of #wang-eat Ordering ("the Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

#wang-eat Ordering is an internal tool for coordinating group food orders among colleagues. It allows users to create order sessions, browse restaurant menus, place individual orders, and track group payments. The Service is intended for authorized users within the organization only.

2. Access and Eligibility

Access to the Service requires Google sign-in or an email one-time code. You must use your authorized email address to sign in. You may not share your login credentials or allow others to use your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. User Conduct

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful material.
• Harvest or collect personal data of other users without their consent.
• Use the Service to send unsolicited messages or spam.

4. Order and Payment Responsibility

The administrator or group organizer acts only as an unpaid personal agent to collect and apply money for shared meal expenses. This is a personal favor, not a commercial payment, money-transfer, deposit-taking, or stored-value service. The Service records the group's orders and payment status, but does not itself receive, hold, transmit, or process money. Payments and refunds are handled separately outside the Service through PayMe or in-person cash.

If a payment exceeds your share of a group meal, the Service may display the excess as an "overpayment." An overpayment is automatically applied only to a later lunch order placed by the same payer, unless that payer requests a refund first. It cannot be transferred to another user, redeemed for another purpose, or used as a general payment instrument. Refund requests are carried out separately through PayMe or in-person cash by an administrator.

Users are responsible for ensuring their own dietary requirements and allergies are communicated appropriately when placing orders. We are not responsible for errors in orders or allergen information provided by restaurants.

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to software, text, graphics, and logos, are the property of the Service operator and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

9. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may also request deletion of your account at any time via your Settings page. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on data retention and deletion.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent changes. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
